No. This is a vehicle service contract (in some states, a motor club membership) sold by Care Protection. It is not insurance and it is not affiliated with any manufacturer or dealer. It covers the cost of specified mechanical repairs after your factory warranty ends, or alongside it.
Yes. We offer plans for vehicles of nearly any age and mileage. Older vehicles typically qualify for Powertrain or Comprehensive coverage; eligibility is confirmed during your quote.
Yes, a short waiting period (commonly 30 days and 1,000 miles) applies before claims can be filed. This prevents pre-existing problems from being claimed and keeps pricing fair for everyone.
Any licensed repair facility in the United States or Canada, including dealerships. The shop calls our claims line before starting work, and we pay the shop directly for covered repairs, less your deductible.
Cancel within 30 days for a full refund if no claim has been filed. After that, cancel any time and receive a pro-rated refund of the unused portion.
Routine maintenance (oil, filters, brake pads, tires), cosmetic items, pre-existing conditions and damage from accidents, neglect or misuse. The exact exclusions are listed in your contract, which you can read before you pay.
